Message it basically implies that the MKIV only went with an inline 6 design to differ from the 300zx's V6 design.. however did the author forget that the MKIII is also inline 6? Plus he said the Z runs 9.0 lbs of boost stock.. when in fact is 9.5. And then the author started rambling about "if we pushed 19 psi on 300zx stock turbos and 22 psi on supra stock turbos..."... 19 psi on stock turbos? Kaboom... 22psi on stock turbos? Kaboom.... not a good comparison there. And saying that if the Z upgraded its injectors it would be even.. well the comparison started out as a stock vs stock comparison, so the Supra owners could make the arguement easily, "well if we upgraded to our 1000 cc injectors cause the 550cc is all that are holding us back"..... So while its entertaining and makes you feel better about being a Z owner, its not very accurate in the least. If the arguement is for a "strong" motor, then yes, the Z has a very strong motor. Stronger than a Supra? I don't know. But if he's trying to argue that the Z has a more powerful motor,it doesn't. Supras continue to turn out over 1000+ rwhp dynos.... and as a Z owner, I"m fine with that. I bought my car not because its the "most powerful japanese supercar", but because I LOVE the design, the feel, aand the power. Just my thoughts anyway.
